THE LANDSCAPE DESIGN
PROCESS:
Dig It Landscape & Garden Design, Inc. tries to make the process of hiring
and working with a landscape designer easy and enjoyable. We follow a phased design process to ensure good communication
between the client and the designer.
PHASE
1: INTRODUCTORY
MEETING:
Following the initial contact between the homeowner and the designer, we will meet you at your home to discuss
your needs. This meeting is intended to last about one hour and to introduce the designer to you and your property.
The homeowner(s) should be prepared to explain their ideas and desires for landscape improvements. The designer will
basically listen to the homeowner and gather information to prepare a landscape design proposal in writing to the client.
PHASE
2: CONCEPT PLAN PRESENTATION:
Upon acceptance of the design proposal and payment of the design fee by the client(s), the designer will conduct
a site survey of the property. The measurements of the area(s) to be considered will be drawn to scale on paper and
all building, existing plants and structures, etc. will be identified. A creative design Concept Plan will then be presented
to the client for feedback, revisions and approval.
